Should my computer already have
an email client installed?

If you have a computer running Microsoft Windows, the email client Outlook should already be installed. Check your start menu for 'Outlook' or 'Email'. If neither are there, look under All Programs

If you are running Mac OSX, you should have an application called Mail included. Check your dock for the postage stamp icon; if it isn't there, check your Applications folder.
